Subject Index

The Subject Index is an auxiliary, simplified version of the query. It allows the user to select tables corresponding to specified topics (e.g., diffusion of specific gases & ions), which are difficult to find by other ways.

The topics of the Subject Index are arranged into Chapters and Paragraphs.

Note

We have found that the table records stored in this subject index are far fewer than the total table records in the database.

Most likely, the SciGlass database does not maintain/update/categorize this part of the data in later versions.

If you find tables that should belong to certain topics but are not yet included in this subject index, please let us know so that we can improve it.

Get started

  1. Click on the Subject index button in the sidebar
  2. A window with all subject information will open
  3. The window contains two parts side by side: the left-hand side displays the list of arranged chapters in the SciGlass database.
  4. Clicking on a chapter name in the list to display available topics in the Paragraphs column on the right-hande side.
  5. One can then select a topic in the Paragraphs column to display the corresponding tables and navigate to the Result Card (Table view) section.

Example

Click on the topic Tg values in phase-separated glasses 39 in the Paragraphs column. (The number 39 at the end means how many tables are associated with this topic)

After that, the related tables are displayed, and you jump to the Result Card (Table view) section:
